Oni (鬼) are powerful, evil, and terrifying creatures who are believed to have supernatural powers in Japanese belief. He comes from another world bringing disaster or good fortune. His spiritual power is so frightening, and is believed to have both good and evil powers, so that it becomes an object of worship and is avoided by its presence. Oni is a type of yōkai.
