Bear Trap. When visiting the mountains in Romania nowadays, you’ll always see signs that say “be aware of the bears”. The reason? Their habitat has been destroyed so they have to come closer to humans to get food. They come to people's home, to cars, to bins, just trying to survive. Walking around, I found this bear trap and I felt like I had to document it as it symbolises what humans do to nature. It’s amazing really, we destroy their homes, their lives and then we want punish them when they come to us looking for food. What chance do they have?! How can they possibly live the life that they were meant to?! Shot on film.
